You Have the Right to Remain Silent

Did you hear about this? It was reported by Stephen Hayes from the 'weekly standard blog'

The Obama Administration has ordered FBI agents to read terrorists in Afghanistan their Miranda Rights.

In a March 2003 interview aired on CBS' "60 Minutes" President Obama said Guantanamo detainees do not "deserve" to be read Miranda rights.

But now they do? This is the kind of thing that conservatives once joked about as an outrageous sign that Liberals in power would go this far in ignoring terrorism. Now it has happened. Let me spell out to you how this is going to work here>

(Enemy combatant captured while placing an IED in the path of US Soldiers)

FBI to Terrorist: "You have the right to remain silent, you have the right to an attorney..."

Terrorist: "Really, that is more rights than I have here in Afghanistan, I should have attacked American Infidel's long ago. May I have my one SAT phone call to let my terrorist camp know that I am in your custody? (and to warn them to move)."

FBI to Terrorist: "Ahhh, Suuuuurrrre.. take all the time you need."

CIA questioning Terrorist: "What were you doing on that road with an IED in your hands?"

Terrorist: "IED? Hmmm, Yes I was following orders"

CIA: "we need you to tell us who you work for and where they are located, and any plans you know of to kill American soldiers"

Terrorist:"Or what, you'll tooooorrrrtttttuuuurrrrreeeee me? Ha-ha, I don't think so anyway I have rights here"

CIA: "Rights? What rights"

Terrorist: "Ask the FBI, I have the right to remain silent. So I will now exercise that right"

This is a terrible policy! If this is what we are dealing with then lets get our troops out now before any of our soldiers dies needlessly! Even our soldiers don't have the same rights as U.S. civilians and now the terrorists have more rights than our soldiers do? Give me a break!

You should be concerned, angry, and scared. Pray for our soldiers both here and abroad.

In the beginning Obama saved or created...

"Saved or created" has become the signature phrase for Barack Obama as he describes what his stimulus is doing for American jobs. His latest invocation came yesterday, when the president declared that the stimulus had already saved or created at least 150,000 American jobs -- and announced he was ramping up some of the stimulus spending so he could "save or create" an additional 600,000 jobs this summer. These numbers come in the context of an earlier Obama promise that his recovery plan will "save or create three to four million jobs over the next two years."

If the "saved or created" formula looks brilliant, it's only because Mr. Obama and his team are not being called on their claims. And don't expect much to change. So long as the news continues to repeat the administration's line that the stimulus has already "saved or created" 150,000 jobs over a time period when the U.S. economy suffered an overall job loss 10 times that number, the White House would be insane to give up a formula that allows them to spin job losses into jobs saved.

Therefore...
  • I almost went to the store to day and didn't so since I would have spent $50 on random stuff I always want to buy.. "I earned $50 for my monthly budget today"
  • I am on Atkins low carb diet. Since I would have eaten poorly and gained 5lbs by now.. "I lost 5lbs today"
  • I lost $100 in Vegas, but I had to leave early and would have lost another $200 if I had stayed therefore.. "I won $100 in Vegas!"

These of course are all legitimate statements on their own but coupled with the explanations they seem ridiculous things to claim. It's clear that a majority of people don't believe Obama's claims that he will create or save 600,000 jobs over the summer. His explanations are ambiguous and unprovable, therefore indisputable. President Bush couldn't get a break when he was doing everything right and told the truth. How long will the injustice of a pandering media carrying Obama's 'heavy water' last before the house of cards tumble?

Americans aren't stupid and only tolerant to a point. Either Mr. Obama believes he can truly deceive the mass of freedom loving Americans, or he is going to wait until staring down the angry mob at Point Blank (had to get that in there).

Bush Bad, Obama God

When Conservatives flip flop on their principals like this they are banished from the party and ostracized as opportunists. They are hung in effigy in the 'balanced' media and held up as examples of what conservatives are not.

When Liberals flip flop on their principals however, they are never called on it like I am doing here, they are labeled forward thinking and progressive by the liberal media. They are smug, feel smarter than the rest of us and it leads to a huge drop off in viewers, listeners and readers.

Look at what CNN has said about FOX NEWS and their heralded success. CNN co-founder, Reese Schonfeld, provides these laughable excuses for the FOX success story:

  • "Nine years ago, when Fox News sprinted past CNN to become America's number one news network, I attributed its ratings gains to the election of George Bush and the triumph of Fox-watching conservatives. I figured conservatives would be savoring their victory while liberals were averting their eyes in disgust. For the next eight years, I measured political sentiment in the United States by comparing the size of the Fox News audience with the combined size of the CNN/MSNBC audience. In this space, I even predicted, with reasonable accuracy, the percent by which Barack Obama won the election based on the split in the news audience."
  • Now, seven months after Barack Obama's victory, CNN's ratings have gone down the drain. From May of last year to May of this year, CNN lost 22% of its total prime time audience. MSNBC was down 2%, while FoxNews was up 24%. In the key advertising demographic (25-54), Fox was up 31%, CNN was down 37% and MSNBC was down 26%. In hard numbers, Fox had 109,000 more viewers than last year while CNN lost 113,000. CNN averaged fewer than 200,000 25-54 viewers in prime time. Even MSNBC averaged more viewers than that.
  • "Here are the best excuses I can think of: maybe a lot of middle-of-the-roaders have just tuned out on all the cable news noise. Maybe other people have better things to do with their lives than listen to pandering pundits. Maybe more generous souls accept that Obama's doing the best he can in a very tough job, and they don't want to hear the details because they know the stars are not shining on America right now."

Nice try! CNN and MSNBC are heading the way of bankruptcy losing market share faster than Obama can spend our money. It's only a matter of time before the government will find an excuse to either hurt conservative/balanced media or own liberal failing media. It follows suit that when liberals are in power and their policies are rejected by the majority, they simply force their views and policies down our throats.

Evan Thomas says that Obama is a sort of god?! Well Lucifer was considered a sort of god before he was cast from heaven down to earth. That's when he got the name Satan and became really nasty. Folks, when Obama loses his approval ratings and becomes the ire of the people (only months away) watch out. If you think the media is nasty now, if you think Obama is throwing his weight around now.. in the words of Obama "You ain't seen Nothing yet"
