Obama Dunce

There are some out there in the Media, so in LOVE with The Lord god OBAMA, that they actually believe the reason his popularity is plummeting is due to the fact that he is over qualified to be president. In a nutshell, Obama is TOO intelligent for America.

I am here to offer a 'Fair and Balanced' point of view. I think that Mr. Obama is the biggest 'Hillbilly' we have had in office since Harry Truman!

Obama is like Jed Klampett who comes to DC from Chicago where his small town thuggery was the law of the land, kind of like marrying cousins and sisters works in the back hills of Tennessee. But once he comes to DC does he 'Smartly' adapt to the politics of the land and manipulate and politic his way into accomplishing the goals of his agenda.. NO

Instead, he pushes forward against the will of the people. Then he uses his Saul Alinsky tactics to isolate and attack anyone who disagrees with him. He attacked Rush Limbaugh, The Chamber Of Commerce, and Fox News (let's not forget what he did to Joe the Plumber during the campaign).

His backward ways have continued in a neadrathal manner as he clumsily stumbles into his 10th month still blaming Bush, offering nothing but future despair, and accomplishing nothing, zip, nada..

I can hear some of you now saying "oh but Obama is such an eloquent speaker" Really? Let's see what he says when he is 'off prompter'. Here are Obama's ACTUAL words.

“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”- Barack Obama

"I had an uncle who was ... part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps," Obama said. One small problem; the former Soviet Union liberated Auschwitz January 27th 1945, not the American 89th Infantry Division that Obama’s great uncle was a member of. Auschwitz is in Poland, not Germany and in January, 1945, America was still involved in the Battle of the Bulge.

Obama to Sunrise, FL: “How’s it going, Sunshine?…It’s good to be in Sunshine!”

Obama, in his memoir, Dreams of My Father, writes of a story in Life magazine that influenced him -- about a black man trying to bleach his skin white. No such article could be found in Life or Ebony.

Marking the anniversary of the March 1965 "Bloody Sunday" in Selma, Ala., Obama, speaking at a church, said his parents got together "because of what happened in Selma." Obama was born in 1961.

“And just in case you missed it, this week, this week there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people dead.”- Barack Obama, from a speech he made in May of 2007. Actually, 11 people were tragically killed in that tornado.

"We only have a certain number of them (translators) and if they are all in Iraq, then its harder for us to use them in Afghanistan," Obama said. Obama posited -- incorrectly -- that Arabic translators deployed in Iraq are needed in Afghanistan – forgetting that Afghans don't speak Arabic.

No wonder, then, that demagogues like Hugo Chavez have stepped into this vacuum.”- Barack Obama. Hugo Chavez came to power during the Clinton Administration, and was first elected President of Venezuela in 1998, two years before the Bush Administration took office.

"What it says is that I'm not very well known in that part of the country (Kentucky)," Obama said. "Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it's not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle."

Trouble is, as a look at a US map (with territories) shows, Arkansas may be "nearby," but Obama's home state of Illinois is "adjacent"

In his book, Dreams From My Father, Obama admitted his drug use when young: "Pot (marijuana) had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow (cocaine) when you could afford it. Not smack (heroin), though."

Another Government Takeover

I saw this report while browsing my news sites:

NEW YORK (AP) - Journalism is at risk and American society must act to preserve it. That's a key message in a new report co-authored by Len Downie, former executive editor of The Washington Post.
In a paper commissioned by the
Columbia University Journalism School, Downie and Michael Schudson, a Columbia professor, argue the government, universities and nonprofit foundations should step in as newspapers suffer financially.
Among other steps, the authors recommend that the government ensure the
tax code allows local news outlets to operate as non-profits. They urge philanthropic organizations to support local reporting. And they suggest a fund be established using fees from telecom or Internet providers for grants to innovative local news groups.

Every popular president goes through the cycle of declining popularity. It begins with a high approval with control of both houses. He doesn't meet party expectations because he wants to actually accomplish something meaningful, loses popularity due to media coverage of opposing parties grievances and then come the mid-term elections. Popular party loses seats and possibly control of one or more houses. President tries to gear up for the next election and campaigns the last two years on what he will accomplish if given another 4 years. Key people in the presidents own party turn against the president and the media covers the drama. Finally the president, in the end has a very low rating as he leaves office.

But it all starts when the Media begins reporting negative news about the president within the first two years. It happens to every president, no matter what party, it's as certain as wrinkles and age spots are and there is nothing you can do about it.. Until Now.

If President Obama can pull off this Government funding to 'Save' the Newspaper industry then we are all in very big trouble. This will mean that the President can 'bully' the 'State' media to release only good (and false) reports about him while completely demonizing the independent press who still have a profitable product, meeting customer demands for truth and balance. We have seen how this will play out in Venezuela with the government raiding, closing and suspending media outlets that report truth, which is what the people crave.

President Obama is trying to do what I have predicted in this blog before, he wants to create a government environment that is not Representative of the people, rather good for the people (the masses) strictly controlled by the few (socialism, communism, dictatorship). This seems to be the only way Liberals can actually say what they believe and still remain in power, because Lord knows if Obama had told us that THIS is what he would do if elected, we would never have voted him into office.

Finally, the White house was busted this week talking about how they 'Control' the stories that get reported in the media. This along with their escalating attacks on Fox News is setting a dangerous precedent for future media/President relations. The last President to behave this way was Richard Nixon towards the Washington Post and we all know how well that worked out for 'Tricky Dick'.

The solution for the newspaper industry is to begin writing truthful stories curbing extreme bias and rewarding stories that are balanced and factual. This will bring the patrons back and when everything goes electronic why they will have a following. As it stands now the New York Times, USA Today, the LA Times etc.. will continue their decline in readerships until they decide to present ALL the news and give both sides to each story. Even if there is a Government takeover of the newspaper industry it won't work until the competition is Squashed. This is precisely what will happen to our private insurance if we get government health care, this is what did happen to the rail industry with AMTRAK.

Dear Mr. President, please leave us alone...

Sunday Thoughts

As I have been sitting and enjoying my Sunday Football (a VERY American) experience, I ponder the offense, defense and strategy of our two political parties.

Here are some of my thoughts:
  • America IS a great country due to it's great freedom afforded to it's citizens
  • Republicans stand for personal freedom, personal accountability and personal success
  • Democrats stand for the victim and the down and out
  • Both ideals are valuable on their face while greed for power corrupts both points of view
  • Republican policies make us safer as a country, they demonstrate that any threat to American freedom will result in a strong response, including military.
  • Democrat policies make us a friendlier country, they demonstrate that they have no stomach for fighting and try diplomacy first, last and always.
  • Republican generosity breeds healthy charities that benefit the community
  • Democrat compassion breeds government controlled charity that benefits few and hurts the masses
  • Republican ideals lend itself to the hyper-committed called conservatives, who believe that our founding documents were 'exceptional', rare and should be adhered to strictly, allowing updates for technology and social trends with personal freedom as the paramount ideal
  • Democrat ideals lend itself to the hyper-committed called liberalism, that believe our founding documents are imperfect as they were written by slave owners (In some cases) therefore the constitution is a bigot inspired document. They believe that the constitution and personal rights are the things standing in their way to 'progressive' social changes.
  • Republican policies result in companies like WAL*MART being successful, offering jobs to thousands, while keeping prices low helping local communities with charitable giving.
  • Democrat policies result in labor unions driving up wages (against all business advice), driving up the cost of the product offered by companies (Like GM?), and creating fiscally unsustainable pensions and lifetime health benefits (Like the US Government).

Clearly, the policies of the Democrat party don't create personal wealth, they don't protect personal freedoms and they don't make America safer in any way shape or form.

Infact, the only reason we aren't completely attacked and conquered during the rule of Democrat leadership is the threat that the successor will be a Republican, who will take back everything the Democrat's gave away and then some (usually accompanied by an uninvited regime changed).

Now in defense of Democrat behavior, they keep republicans honest and play a great Devil's Advocate and keep Republican greed in check. But as for leading the greatest nation on earth? I trust those who emulate the people who fought, died and risked life and liberty for all of our rights to choose. I am ready for a conservative revival!
